Let's Talk Life - Dreams

Image
(Source: Art Infinitii ) Every great  dream  begins with a dreamer. As a child we dream of fancy worlds, mystical things and a life that is out of this world but with time the meaning of dreams start tilting towards reality. Nobody said that reality can’t be mystifying. The first glow of a light bulb or the first flight in an aircraft was as extraordinary as probably the Hogwarts castle. For dreamers, imagination is the only limit and when we believe in our dreams, we turn them into reality. In this interview, we are going to talk about dreams and their importance with a very good friend of mine, Manveer Bajwara. She is a dreamer too who is currently working as a retail specialist. She thoroughly enjoys discovering new dream worlds through books and also loves the adventure of travelling. Today we will look at her perspective about dreams and on the way we will also try to understand what dreams are truly all about.   Welcome and our topic is 'Dreams'. With that, my fir

Beauty - A complicated concept?

Image
(Image source:Photo by Edu Cravalho Edited by: Art Infinitii  ) A simple Google search on the topic ‘meaning of beauty' will give you the following results: combination of qualities, such as shape, colour, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight. a beautiful woman. (Google search result for 'meaning of beauty') It is said that images speak louder than words because visual elements work much strongly to display the essence of something. So, I went ahead and typed just the single word ‘beauty’ in Google images. I was expecting a variety of different images but for probably the first time, Google did not live upto my expectations. The search results showed only pictures of female models or actresses with pretty faces with lots of makeup. Some of the pictures were promoting beauty products as well. To be honest, this was very disappointing as I believe that this is clearly not a true representation of beauty or

Let's Talk Life - Peace of Mind

Image
In the current time when most of the world is under lockdown and people are forced to stay at home and maintain their sanity, peace of mind is a pressing need at the moment. With a constant silence outside our homes, broken only by the chirping of birds or a lone car passing through the gates, we sit with ourselves a little more than we ever have. It is the time, not only to support the nation by staying home but also to find ourselves; to bond with our family; to grow and to find the peace of mind we all seek. Hello friends. Welcome to the first edition of ‘ Let’s Talk Life ’. This is going to be a section of my blog which will feature interviews about different aspects of life with people, just like you and me.   I have always believed that the views and perception of common people may also include deep meanings about life which just need to be explored and highlighted. There is a writer, philosopher and an artist within all of us and maybe if we could try a little to ex

We will make it through

(Image Source: Cottonbro ) The world is on a standstill today. With news pouring in from every corner of the world, we don’t turn off the television anymore, hoping for some news that can provide some relief. We are confused, stressed and scared, all at the same time and that is understandable in the current scenario. Tough times call for tough measures but that does not mean that we cannot make it easy on ourselves while still being responsible. COVID-19 has forced several countries of the world to go into lockdown with strict instructions to stay at home and practice social distancing since this is one of our best defense against the coronavirus.   Staying at our homes, on a stretch continuously is something most of us are not used to but there are a lot of things we can do to make these days productive for ourselves. I can talk about the impact of this virus, the background, the statistics, the updates but maybe we need to look at something more than just that s

Normal is equal to special? Let's Discuss

Image
What's so ' special ' about being special? Sounds weird right? Let's see! We live in a world of fame where glamour speaks for itself, in terms of style, talent, fan base, million follower instagram accounts and the constant snap of camera shots. We look up to celebrities and famous personalities and even the people around us who are well known. We admire their charisma and it can’t be denied that many of us wish to get that kind of attention, to just be special enough to stand out. We have started associating fame with happiness and that is a really messed up concept. Happiness does not follow fame but the vice versa may be true. Not everyone desires to gather fame but living a life of peace and memorable moments is something we all seek.   In our pursuit to look good to others, we have forgotten that it is not only the way we appear to others that matters but also the way we are inside, in our hearts. Our self developed and inherent qualities make us who we

Let's begin

250 Grams of Life - Let's Begin Life is a complicated concept. Writers, poets, artists, everyone has tried to describe life in their own way. We manage to relate to some of those descriptions and some of them seem overly absurd to us and that is okay. Life is not the same for everyone and it is rather the most unique thing that is present in this world. We all see life differently, in different hues and shades and that's exactly how ' 250 grams of life ' came into creation. The idea behind this name is that out of all the days that we live, there is only a certain amount of time which we can actually refer to as our life. The time that is ours and the time that we spend in creating moments that we can cherish for a lifetime. We don't often think about this immensely valuable time or the moments that make up that time but the realization of it certainly makes us be more grateful towards them.  Take out the time you give to others, take out the tim
